ABOUT
Working for more than 30 years as a commercial photographer,
Kristian’s artistic approach to his work is deeply rooted in a
meticulous methodology, mastering photographic craftsmanship
and zooming in on an object's essence. Tight composition, textures,
shape from light are key components that play an essential role
in all his work.
“I want to zoom in on the essence of an object. I try to portrait
an object, a person or place that I am working with and want
to enhance specific character traits. I try to strip away unnecessary
noise and symbolism and focus on the object in all its beauty and
simplicity”.
An example of this is seen in his flower project ‘Withered’.
A collection of withered cut off flowers picked up from the streets
in the neighbourhood. A curious project showing us beauty randomly
found from decaying flowers portrayed through his lens.
